Cafe Gelatin

INGREDIENTS (serves 8):

  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 12 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp finely grounded espresso
  • 1 3/4 cup strong brewed espresso, chilled (brew at home)
  • 4 1/2 tsp powdered gelatin
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Lower layer:
    • Combine 1 cup cream, 4 tbsp sugar and ground espresso in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Let stand for 5 minutes.
    • Sprinkle 1 1/2 tsp gelatin over 1 cup cream in a separate saucepan. Place mixture over a pan of simmering water until softened (about 5 minutes.)
    • Combine two mixtures over a pan of simmering water and whisk until gelatin is dissolved (about 5 minutes.) Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth. Pour equally in 8 small glasses. Cover with cellophane, and refrigerate until set (about 45 minutes.)
  2. Middle Layer:
    • Sprinkle 1 1/2 tsp gelatin over 3/4 cup brewed espresso in a bowl, and let stand until soften (about 5 minutes.)
    • Combine remaining 1 cup brewed espresso and 4 tbsp sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil.
    • Combine two mixtures and whisk until gelatin is dissolved. Let it cool to room temperature. Add 2 tbsp to each serving glass. Cover and and refrigerate until set (about 30 minutes.)
    • Refrigerate remaining mixture in a small dish.
  3. Top Layer:
    • Combine 1 cup cream 4 tbsp sugar and vanilla extract in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil. Let stand for 5 minutes.
    • Sprinkle 1 1/2 tsp gelatin over 1 cup cream in a separate saucepan. Place mixture over a pan of simmering water until softened (about 5 minutes.)
    • Combine two mixtures over a pan of simmering water and whisk until gelatin is dissolved (about 5 minutes.) Pour equally in serving glasses. Cover and refrigerate until set (about 45 minutes.)
  4. Serve it:
    • Just before serving, cut the reserved espresso gelatin into very small pieces and place them on top of vanilla layer.
    • Serve it chill.

Chocalate Cake

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 small tin condensed milk
  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 Tbsp Coco powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp Baking powder
  • 2Tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla essence
 

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Start the oven  on 390F.
  2. Stir together flour, coco powder,baking powder ,sugar and baking soda mix with the fork.
  3. In another bowl mix condens milk, vanilla essence and butter until it is smooth.
  4. Mix the dry ingrdients with the wet gradually add water mix till it is smooth.
  5. Grease the pan with butter and flour
  6. Put cake mix in the pan and bake it at 390F
  7. After 40 mins. test the cake with a toothpick if it comes out to be clean then cake is ready.
